HostGator is so popular, in fact, that they were recognized as one of America's fastest-growing private companies back in 2008 by Inc. Magazine – and they have experienced significant growth since that time. For a company just seven years young, that's no small feat – and it's all owing to their quality and affordability as a host.

Hostgator review
I am using Hostgator for my WordPress website. I paid three years in advance to take advantage of the lower monthly price. Now I'm not glad I did it, I would like to change them. I didn't have any issues regarding uptime or performance but I believ support could be a bit more helpful. It took three calls to customer support to solve my last issue. However I signed up three years contract so I won't be moving anytime soon. At least I hope so.

I think this is not fair. Everywhere on the internet and on their site you can see $4.95 per month for the cheapest plan. But wait, it is only if you pay for three years??? Who pays new host three years in advance?
If you pay month by month it is $8.95.
Hostgator shared hosting
Features: A lot of features, I haven't used them all, but it is good to know that they are available.
Support: not the best, but far from bad support. I contacted tech support two times and they response was timely, less than an hour and they tried to help although the person I talked first time didn't seemed knowledgeable enough (I had problem with Wordpress installation).
Reliability: Great. No downtime so far, loading time for wordpress blog good.
Price: Fair. If you need more than hostgator offers be prepared to pay more.
Overall: I'm satisfied. for the first time in my life I'm satisfied with my shared hosting account.
100% satisfied
They allow adult websites. with some restrictions of course, content must be legal. I'm using them for the past three months and I'm 100% satisfied.
Be realistic
There are lot of negative reviews about budget shared hosts around, but people don't realize that get what you pay for. You cannot get fast host with no downtime, 10 min. support for 5 bucks a month. For its price, Hostgator is way better than the other shared hosts I tried.

3 years with Hostgator
I've been hosting with them for the past three years and can say only the best. Technical support is awesome, very prompt in solving issues and very knowledgable. Features are also great, reliable server, price as low as it can be. I'm glad I found them (although it was not hard, they're everywhere).
Considering Hostgator
I'm considering them for my blog. I have found a lot of positive and negative reviews on the internet about them. From what I read it seems that they allow a lot more then the other budget hosts.
Hostgator is great
Great host. Unlimited bandwidth and space in shared plan. But if you need a lot of bandwidth and space probably you have high traffic site and then no shared solution is good for you. VPS would do much better job. I won't change them until my site grows enough to be moved to VPS or dedicated server.
I like green hosts
I like green hosts. I host my site at Hostgator and they're green host, that makes me feel good. I'm not saying that I would host with them if they were green but unreliable host, but in the last six month being their customer I haven't had any issues.
I'm not satisfied customer
I'm desperately seking for a new webhost for the site I'm maintaining and my personal blog. They are currently hosted at HostGator, and I must say I'm not satisfied. One thing is sure, you cannot beat their price and there is a lot of features. What makes me want to cahnge them is not so great speed, sometimes it is way to slow and technical support is below any acceptable standards. Recently my site went down (my error) and their support was no help at all. They sounded like they don't want to help. In the end (after three days) I managed to restore my site myself.
