Users and Developers of CMS Made Simple Converge on Amsterdam Starting on 15 September
CMSMS has more going for it than a cute abbreviation these days. With its popularity exploding across Europe and version 2 on the way, it’s an exciting time to be a user or developer of CMS Made Simple. The company has also recently announced the full schedule for its Geek Moot 2010, to be held at Casa 400 near the center of Amsterdam.
The conference starts on 15 Sep with half a day of workshops. Attendees can participate in their choice of three different tracks in both the morning and afternoon. Seating is said to be extremely limited. Workshops include:
- Using MCFactory and ModuleXtender to rapidly create CMSMS modules.
- Designing the Ultimate CMSMS System from the Drawing Board to a Working Copy
- How to Take Advantage of the SEO Features Inherent in CMSMS to Implement Fully Optimized Pages
- Taking a Walkthrough of The Most Critical Features of CMSMS
And more.
The conference then starts with the presentation of the State of the CMSMS system, given by CEO Ted Kulp. With the advent of version 2, Ted will have a lot to show and tell. Presentations will then take place as follows:
- Marketing: The company has also decided that it’s time to kick marketing efforts into high gear. The team will discuss how to publicize version 2 and make it available to various testers and other web firms, coders and designers to participate in CMSMS marketing Initiatives.
- E-commerce: Presenters will take a look at the most commonly used shopping cart modules and compare the benefits and drawbacks of each.
- Mobile: CMSMS is ideal for a mobile marketing platform, and this presentation will discuss how CMSMS can get in on the mobile revolution.
- Flash: Flash is a ubiquitous part of the web and is still the king of multimedia. Learn how to use the AVPlayer module to bring Flash video to your CMSMS.
- Dev Team Q & A: The CMSMS Dev team has always interacted with content developers and users to determine how to make CMSMS live up to its name. During this two-hour session, everyone can speak their mind.
