Mark Your Calendars for April 19th, 2010 - DrupalCon in San Francisco
Registration has officially opened for Drupalcon 2010. It is being hosted at the world famous Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA on April 19th through the 21st. As always, it is important to get your tickets early. The starting price is $150 and will soon be raised to $195, followed by incremental price increases as Drupalcon draws near.
Drupalcon is always the premier Drupal event of the year with more than 2,000 people annually attending. This year, the first ever Drupal Core Developer Summit will be held the weekend before Drupalcon spanning from April 17th to April 18th. Keeping with tradition, April 22nd, the day after Drupalcon, the Code Sprint will be held.
This year the sessions are as diverse and intriguing as ever. All of the sessions fall into one of six categories including: First Impressions, Design and Usability, Code Free Success, Leveraging Drupal for Business, Technical Details, and Providing Professional Drupal Services.
Some of the most anticipated sessions include: Accessibility in Drupal 6 and Drupal 7, Theme Preprocess Functions, 20 API's Every Drupal Developer Should Know, Case Studies in Social Commerce, Theming with Fusion, CSS3: The Future is Now, Monetizing Drupal, Enterprise Trends, Objectifying PHP, CCK Demystified, Case Studies in Publishing, and Going Vertical: How Niche Marketing Can Launch Your Drupal Business. All of these sessions are on the first day of Drupalcon.
The next two days will not dissapoint either. Some of the highlight sessions of the last two days include: Drupal 7 Here We Come, Guerilla Usability Testing, Batch vs. Que: an API Smackdown, Accelerated Grid Theming Using NineSixty, Case Studies in Academia, Advanced Drush, PHP for Non Programmers, and The Story of RDF in Drupal 7 and What it Means for the Web at Large.
Drupalcon is always a great event for Drupal lovers. This year, there are a lot of very timely topics that will help guide Drupal into the new decade.
