Enter FatCow's “Host Smart, Drive Smart” Giveaway

Green Energy

FatCow has launched a new giveaway “Host Smart, Drive Smart” and will be accepting entries until September 30, 2010. FatCow is known for being a green company and wants to raise awareness of the carbon footprint that can be left by datacenters. While many hosting companies have already taken proactive steps to minimizing their environmental impact, this giveaway was designed to raise the awareness of consumers as well.

How to Enter

There are several ways that consumers can automatically receive entries including:

  • Get a new hosting account or domain service (with Sponsor)
  • Personally refer someone who gets a new hosting account or domain service
  • Refer someone via affiliate link
  • Have an active FatCow account in good standing
  • Sign up a resold account under your reseller account
  • Send in a 3x5 card with required personal information

Prizes

  • Grand Prize (1) – Smart Car Pure Coupe or $11,900 (which is the approximate retail value)
  • First Prize (1)– Vespa LX 50 or $3,200 (which is the approximate retail value)
  • Second Prize (4) - $500 Visa Gift Card

The winners will be selected on or around October 20, 2010.

All of FatCow's datacenters are currently powered by 100% wind energy, which leaves an extremely small carbon footprint. The “Host Smart, Drive Smart” giveaway will fall into a long line of efforts that has been made by FatCow, and others in the website hosting industry to increase consumer awareness.

The giveaway was created by a member of the Moo Crew (FatCow staff member) Sophia Nobrega. She notes that FatCow has always been a quirky brand that is very conscious of the decisions that the company makes and how that affects their loyal customers. It is all about having fun, giving back, and raising eco-awareness at the same time.
