Google I/O Features More than 80 Sessions

Google I/O is quickly approaching, May 19th and 20th in San Francisco, and looks to be a fantastic event. It is two full days that will dive deep into technical content. Currently, there are 80 sessions available with access to more than 3000 developers and 100 developer demonstrations.

This year, a new event has been added. The day before the conference (May 18th) will feature a new event named I/O Bootcamp. The Bootcamp will focus on 101-level content and focus on the major developer platforms. It is essentially a crash course on all of the products before the big event. Currently, the I/O Bootcamp is only for Google I/O registered attendees. Currently, the event is free, but the amount of people allowed to attend will be limited.

Google I/O sessions are all highly technical and in depth, while covering a broad spectrum of important technologies. While you do not need to register for specific sessions, attendance is granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. This year, there are 10 tracks that the sessions fall into: App Engine, Chrome, Enterprise, Geo, Google API's, GWT, Social Web, Wave, Tech Talks, and Fireside Chats.

Google I/O is primarily designed for web, mobile, and enterprise developers that are currently, or planning to, build applications with Google and open web technologies. The products and technologies that will be featured at Google I/O are App Engines, Google Web Tools, Android, HTML5, Data API's, AJAX, Google Wave and much more.

Office hours are often considered to be one of the most exciting opportunities this year. It is a chance to get one-on-one assistance from product experts. The products that are featured during the breakout sessions will all have a dedicated office space where Google Engineering members and Developer Relations teams will be readily available to answer your questions or just have a chat.

Google I/O has become increasingly popular every year and 2010 looks to be no different.
