These new and enhanced features include:

  • A versatile shopping cart and payment system with complete product management capabilities, which can also handle group subscriptions
  • A new workspace and perspective system that will allow efficient partitioning of large projects and includes permission based dynamic content and preference filtering
  • Complete integration with BigBlueButton web conferencing, including audio, video, chat and screensharing
  • Full WebDAV access to file galleries, allowing users to drag and drop files from their PC directly into Tiki
  • Various performance improvements throughout the system
  • An effective rating and scoring system giving users full control over the aggregation of scores
  • Broader multilingual support with improved translation capabilities
  • A variety of brand new, customizable skins
  • A revamped spreadsheet system that now uses JQuery for spreadsheet editing and allows Wiki syntax throughout the spreadsheet

And much more.

The above list is hardly exhaustive. Each module of the system has been revisited with new features, enhancements or bug fixes. Under development since mid 2009, the new features in Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware 5.0 combined with Tiki’s new branding initiative represent a major overhaul of the Tiki system, one that brings it closer to the fulfillment of its mission and vision.
