WinSCP Review
WinSCP is an FTP/SFTP client which also supports the older SCP protocol whose primary function is to securely transfer files between a user's computer and a server. It runs on every Windows operating system since Windows 95. On the positive side, it's completely free and has a graphical interface. On top of that, it's a very light-weight program that's fast and efficient, so you can leave it running in the background without eating up too many resources. Some drawbacks are, because of the light weight, the vanilla design may be off-putting to new users, and some users have reported issues connecting to standard FTP servers with older versions of WinSCP. In any case, modern FTP servers almost always support SFTP, and it's the secure, preferred way to connect. Overall, it's an exceptional program which gets the job done just as well as any other FTP client without costing you any money!
